Sheet metal working CAD/CAM launched at MACH
Sheet metal working CAD/CAM software supplier reports that MACH 2006 has been a success for the company, with many existing and new customers visiting the firm's stand.
Radan reports that early signs show that MACH 2006 has been a success for the company, with many existing and new customers visiting the stand to preview the launch of Radan 06. 'We were fortunate to attract a high quality of companies looking at changing their existing CAD/CAM software and also existing Radan customers looking for additional modules,' commented sales director Kevin O'Connor. 'A highlight of the exhibition was the official signing of a UAR (unique application agreement) with Autodesk which promotes Radan as the preferred sheet metal partner to Autodesk Inventor.' Another major attraction was the RadbendCNC offline programming of pressbrakes software.
Customers very quickly see a return of investment on products such as this, enabling them to reduce non-productive hours on a machine, typically by 25%.
Radan's e2i multi-purpose management system was another star of the show where the company previewed new Radan06 features such as the integration between the Radnest product and e2i for accurate material costing.
Developed to meet the needs of SMEs, e2i was also shortlisted for the Best Software category at the MWP Awards night.
Three genuine orders were taken on the stand with a large volume of serious enquiries producing an additional GBP 70,000 of potential business.
Orders achieved to date include Malton Laser (Radan 3D system); Le Grande (Radpunch system); and Invent Fabrications (Inventor).
Radan's MACH promotions also proved popular.
A free prize draw for a PDA was made on each day of the exhibition while the offer of a free Laptop for customers purchasing a Radan System ran until the end of June 2006.
