Lantek starts new building
Lantek begins construction of its new building in the Alava Technology Park. This new building is to stand on a 10,000 m2 plot, with approximately 1,800 m2 being allocated to the departments of Administration, R+D and International Support. Lantek currently has over 60 people working at its present premises, with the forecasts being that by the end of 2007 there will more than 80 employees in this new building.
With an investment running to over 2 million euros, the construction of this new building represents a further landmark in Lantek's history.
Work is scheduled to finish by mid 2007 and 'it constitutes a turning-point in our trajectory' according to Alberto Martinez - CEO of Lantek Sheet Metal Solutions.
'This new building will enable us to be more dynamic and face new and greater challenges, giving us a chance to significantly increase our team of staff and improve our present technical infrastructures'.
'Our aim is to provide our customers and partners with a quality service and consolidate our position as global leaders in our sector'.
Given Lantek's steadfast policy of investing at least 15% of its turnover in the R+D and Support departments, the workforce has been growing at a rate of more than 10% since the present building was opened in January 2000.
