CAD/CAM Software features networked databases
Networked FeatureCAM[R] 2006 lets users share databases with tooling, feeds, and speed information between networked computers. It features capabilities for full machine simulation; multi-turret, multi-spindle synchronized turning; and 3Dconnexion motion controller support. Supplied with thousands of defined tools, software lets users select groups of tools and define any number of tool cribs. Feed and speed tables, also included, may be modified and extended. Salt Lake City, UT - September 2, 2005 - FeatureCAM Version 2006 is officially released with major enhancements including full machine simulation, multi-turret / multi-spindle synchronized turning and support for motion controllers from 3Dconnexion. An additional enhancement is networked databases.
Networked FeatureCAM 2006 allows customers to share tooling and feeds and speeds databases between networked computers. FeatureCAM products come standard with thousands of defined tools. Users can select groups of tools and define any number of tool cribs to reflect the tooling in their specific shop. If a tool is not found in the provided database, users can create a new tool, including tools with custom shapes. Feed and speed tables are also included and are easy to modify or extend. With FeatureCAM, default attributes, such as tooling and feeds/speeds, can be saved with each part file. Now, with FeatureCAM's networked databases, these part attributes can be effortlessly shared with networked computers.
