Harting has introduced a complete range of connectivity solutions for industrial Ethernet systems. The range of Ethernet products being offered by Harting covers all the relevant international standards being developed on both sides of the Atlantic by organisations such as PNO (Profibus Nutzer Organisation), ODVA (Open devicenet Vendor Association), IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and IAONA (Industrial Automation Open Networking Alliance). Harting's wide range of connectors for industrial Ethernet applications includes the RJ Industrial family which offers data-only types in IP67 and IP20 variants and a hybrid (data and power) version to IP67.

Also available are Ethernet compatible shielded M12 connectors to IP67 and rectangular Han-Brid 3A-RJ45 connectors to IP65.

Harting RJ Industrial connectors are the only RJ45 based connectors that can accept 22 AWG gauge conductors, which are increasingly being used in industrial network cables.

They are also approved for the profinet standard.

The Harting devices incorporate a number of design innovations, including a modular plug concept featuring one universal data module with provision for push/pull or standard locking and four power contacts in a hybrid configuration.

The company's patented Harax insulation displacement installation technology provides a reliable gastight termination for solid and stranded wires.

Harting is also offering a number of support products including industrial outlets for industrial cabling and a family of fast Ethernet switches.
