CAD/CAM 5-axis software upgraded
VISI-Series CAD/CAM software features major upgrades to its 5-axis module, while machining STRATEGIST has a greatly extended (generic) tool library for creation of an intelligent database.
Vero International Software majored on its latest product introductions at MACH 2006, giving many visitors their first opportunity to see the new and upgraded features to its VISI-Series CAD/CAM software in addition to the latest upgrades to the machining STRATEGIST HSM manufacturing software and its SMIRTware powerful viewing software. The VISI-Series version 13:1 features major upgrades to its 5-axis module. The main improvements are a new and improved interface, making it even more user friendly and offering more flexible, reliable operation.
There is also a new 5 axis rough machining manoeuvre.
At MACH, Vero also demonstrated the latest developments to the functionality its machining STRATEGIST HSM software.
Keeping its promise to invest heavily in machining STRATEGIST, the latest improvements include a greatly extended (generic) tool library that enables the creation of an intelligent database.
Other new features include arc fitting, improvements to the tessellation engine to create more efficient polygon meshes and a new rest-machining algorithm has been developed which enables - among other features - the machining of steep and shallow areas in a single toolpath.
SMIRTware software was given its UK exhibition debut following Vero's acquisition of SMIRTware, a USA based company that develops and licenses die design software for the automotive industry.
SMIRTware products offer powerful viewing software specifically designed for the die build stamping industry and provides a highly productive approach to building large metal stamping dies in a way that empowers shop floor personnel to construct these complex tools with greater speed and accuracy.
Its product range includes SMIRTDieNC, a highly intuitive CAM package and SMIRTDieShop, an excellent interpretative and visualisation tool for importing CATIA, UG, and I-DEAS CAD design models.
Vero International Software is represented in over 40 countries by more than 80 distributors and, in addition to its extensive dealer network, has its own direct sales operations in the UK, France, Italy, Japan and Canada.
