Cimmetry and Alventive collaborate on software
Alventive and Cimmetry Systems have announced that Cimmetry's AutoVue for Java technology will be embedded in the Alventive Collaborative Design Solution Family.
Cimmetry's robust Web-enabled viewing technologywill now be seamlessly integrated into Alventive's products,enriching Alventive's current 2D viewing capabilities andincreasing users' ability to collaborate visually onmultiple file formats. The enhanced 2D viewing capabilitycomplements Alventive's leading 3D viewing technology.
Allviewing capabilities will be presented in a single userinterface, so that users can access over 200 differentengineering, graphics and Microsoft Office formats without everleaving the Alventive environment.
Participants can easily markupthese documents to communicate design intent, and, viaAlventive's workflow engine, securely communicate ideas andchanges while collaborating more efficiently on design projectsof all types.
Deployed on a corporate extranet, private exchange,or public exchange, Alventive Collaborative Design Solutionsenable manufacturers to overcome technology and communicationbarriers and effectively involve the appropriate participantsearly in the product development process.
